Valley of flowers trek begins from the Holy City, Haridwar and head towards Govindghat which is located at a distance of around 300kms and can be covered after sparing a time of about 10-12 hours by road. As per your planned Valley of flowers tour package, you will be picked from your destined location and will take you to your starting point of your journey, i.e. Govindghat. During whole day, you will be driving alongside River Alaknanda that entails you with captivating views of some beautiful sights too, depending upon your tour package and the time availability. By evening, you will reach Govindghat which is position on the bank of River Alaknanda. Simply feel delighted with the beautiful scenery around Govindghat and be ready to explore the journey further from next morning.

The 2nd day of the Valley of Flowers Trek Itinerary begins with breakfast in the morning and launch of the trek by 7am towards Ghangaria. The complete route to Ghangaria holds a distance of about 13kms and will take approximate timings of 8-10 hrs by trekking. The route offers you with the enchanting views of the beautiful scenery created by Mother Nature. The very first trek to Ghangaria moves alongside River Pushpavati which is around 9kms from Govindghat and it offers an amazingly beautiful view of the snow clad mountains.

Visitors can enjoy their lunch at the bank of the River Pushpavati, from where they can move further on the remaining 4kms trek which is a little steeper. You will reach Ghangaria by evening where you can either relax or enjoy the blissful view of the nearest waterfall and the picturesque location. Also, the area beholds you some rare species of birds and the very famous tailless rats.

Rise and get ready with your breakfast by 7 in the morning. This day will refill your memories with some lasting views of the dream land. Filled with pure beauty and bliss of the nature, this trek will let you witness the solace of nature without the hustle bustle of urban life. The trek carries a distance of about 13-14 kms and it took around 7-8 hrs by trek to cover it. A ticket is issued at the entry gate of the valley that will costs you very minimal amount for the epitome of captivating scenery, you are about to view inside. The ticket remains valid for 3 days. Enter the valley and you will hear the mesmerizing sounds of the birds chirping and flowing water. The unblemished natural beauty offered at this trek will take you to different world free from the adversities of life. If you want to make this trek more enjoyable and memorable, quickly wind up your time and reach the Pushpavati river bed that carries the splendid scene, which is almost hard to miss. The river bed is landed at a distance of around 6 km from Ghangaria. Enjoy the impeccable experience and collect the picturesque memories for lifetime.

Begin this day with your journey to one of the renowned and pious Gurudwara, Sri Hemkund Sahib. Covering a distance of about 12km within 8-9 hrs by trek will give your eyes a wonderful treat in the form of the enchanting view of this highest gurudwara in the world. This place is located between the snow clad mountains and a beautiful serene lake to offer you a mesmerized view of the spiritual locale. The beautiful lake flowing alongside Sri Hemkund Sahib is positioned at 13500ft altitude above the sea level. The area surrounding the lake is so captivated that it blows your mind away with its scenic beauty and charming view of some beautiful flowers like blue poppy, brahmakamal and vajardanti.

On this day, the trek moves in a reversal direction from Ghangaria to Govindghat covering a distance of 13 km. To complete the trek, trekkers are allowed with two choices. Either complete the distance by trekking in approximate 5 hours or hire a pony and cover the distance in mere 3 hours. Apposite to the trekking done towards higher altitude, this trekking is easy, thus, most people prefer to trek the distance. Those who are feeling tired prefer to hire ponies. Once you reach Govindghat, you can head towards Badrinath, only if you desire to view the beautiful journey full of waterfalls and lovely rivers. It is mere the opposite journey that you have hailed on Day 1. Covering a distance of around 300kms within 10-12 hours by road, you can reach Haridwar, from where you can leave for your home.
